Hi folks,
Just moved to the Sunny Coast and started sailing out at Golden Beach but looking to venture to a venue more suited to the NNW coming in tomorrow.
Hoping to go out in the morning on the incoming tide in the calm'ish (13km/hr) NNW (before it gets up to 30+ km/hr in the arvo).
Where do you guys/gals park your car, setup and head out from that doesn't annoy the swimmers or lifeguards?
Is it easy enough to avoid heading out into the waves and just run back and forth across the bar?
Cheers!
Go to the car park at Bulcock beach - where all the kiters rig up. It is not a good spot in northerlies because of the lee behind the units & headland. Beware of the outgoing tide - especially around full moon (now). Your best bet is to travel 20 kms north to the spit at Mooloolaba.
cheers
