Hey all, I am after an old broken board that I can rip out the mast track from to see if I can modernize an old Hifly 500CS. The dodgy set up it has now still works but slips quite a bit, so it is hard to keep the uni in place.

Im looking to filler foam around the newer one as the mast track on the Hifly is really long and of plastic construction. so I thought the filler foam would be the best thing to fill the space than sand it back flush with the board. maybe glass over the foam to water proof it.

Also what would be the best distance from the nose of the board to put the new mast track into?

Any help would be great
Thanks

You can buy new mast tracks from the sailboard shops without the need to pull one out of an old board if that helps.
