Hi All,
I am planning on heading up to Bowen from Mackay this weekend for a sail.
Any other Mackay sailors welcome to make the trip North.
Rip.
I am going up Friday night and back Sunday arvo. Others are planning a day trip Saturday (with option to stay over it is it really blowing).
I'll be heading up on Saturday with Liam. I won't be sailing due to injury but I'll take the camera! Liam will be sailing.
I will be heading down very early fri morning and heading back sun arvo, will see how many Tsv guys I can talk into coming. Its lookin gooood
Looks like its going to be a pearla, Couple of us locals taking thurs and fri off , Charts are showing good wind into next week. The place to be for the weekend is front beach sailing club, tides arnt the best but doesn't matter, be early, best wind is always from 8am to 11am, after that it can swing so we can always relocate or upsize, But if you are going to make the effort to get here and want a blast on your small gear please BE EARLY. It really is the best time to sail, If anyone needs more info give me a ring, 0434 718751

I'm good for Saturday, whats the go at the sailing club wormy, flatish or B&J ?
Troy might come up too.
B&J, cross shore blasting with good 1-3 foot ramps, I just got off water, it really hammered in from about 9 till 10-30 so get here early, tide is better early as well. If you plan to sail the arvo as well you might need some bigger gear, I work on 5-6m on 94 exocet cross in the morning and 6-7 in the arvo and with bigger board(122 futura), although some arvo's it does hang in for the small gear.
Be good to see you guys up here.
Great to see all on the water, for those that went home saturday, sunday provided more of the same although a bit stronger with a better tide with lots of ramps along the sand flats.
Squidy changing rigs. Oh well Nigel, the nose on the Naish was too pretty anyway
From north to south, NBR (Nigel, Townsville) Wormy (Jeff, Bowen) Squid Lips (Jarrod, Mackay)
I actually landed a few on Sunday
Great weekend, really good to see lots of sailors on the water.
Thanks to Wormy for the bed and local knowledge.
