Hi guys, anybody heading out tomorrow (Thursday) for a session PM, me so I can join in. Not sure of the best locations. Am at the Big4 van park for a day or so, as I drift South along the Coast.

Gday MIneral,
Try and pm wormy, he's the local wind and location guru. The weekends looking like a good SEly coming through down here in Mackay. I know the sailing club is a good spot for SEly around high tide up there. I'm sure you'll get a decent sail from most of those beaches if there's wind around.

Mineral, North easterlies have kicked in here (Yeppoon) and looks like a decent south -easter is brewing for Sunday onwards. Could be perfect timing on your way through.

Hi Mineral, keep posting as you drift south, as there are some great spots along the coast to sail.
If you drift slowly the Burrum Heads speed strip will be ok from 1st-8th Dec, however, if you put up a bigger sail and start planing south this Sat-Wed 24th Nov should be epic on the speed strip.
If you break the Australian Nautical Mile record while you are here, you collect $1000 prize.

Just read this thread.
No wind, crap rain today,
Sunday onwards for wind from bowen south.
Us bowenites will probably hit it monday.
But you will be further south by then I guess.
