Did anyone else get a good sail today? Queen's beach was seriously first rate. I think God might be a bump and jump sailor on her days off.

ARRRGGGH! Missed it by that much.
Had a family luch and got to Margate about 3.40. It was blowing for a 5.8. By the time I got rigged n ready it was formula weather. I waited til 4.45 and as I was derigging it blew again.
Your God is fickle.

Great windsurfing at Redcliffe this weekend. Sailed both days south end Margate off Scotts Point for old times sake. Today was a blast between 2-4pm, 5.9m North sail (brand new) on a 95 litre F2 project. Yesterday was more a 7 metre day but still fast and furious. A few kites out as well. Doesn't get much better. May be the last sail for a while unless you ride the Westerlies. Where do you go when the offshores howl??

I agree - great weekend at Redcliffe. Today was a blast on my new North 5.9 attached to my old and trusted 95L F2 project. Yesterday still fun on my 7 metre sail and 105L F2 Stoke. For old times sake sailed off Scotts point both days. It's rough and exciting out there - great fun. Tired and satisfied now. Where do you go when the westerlies start howling??

Went to VP Sat and Sun, Sat was exo with the wind picking up as the arvo progressed. Sun about 1-3pm was great but started to ease off after the squall went through about 3pm, then up and down.

But who's complaining with a SE in late May.

Got the old bones working - Cheers

fun arvo sail, 5.9 up, was a bit light when I got in at 130, but picked up.

felt a bit sorry for the guys who were downwind after the squall blew through and wind dropped to zero.... a lot of swimming to end the day for some i think.

VP was great fun yesterday and today. Felt sorry for the poor kiters who rigged up today just as the wind died late in the afternoon.

Dr Gas, I'll sail at Scotts with you, I used to sail there all the time, it can be epic in a big SE....

Dr Gas, the bestspot in my opinion is the Caloundra Bar. The water between the waves is dead flat. The swell slowly rounds the bend of bribie. You can ride it in and run at it flat out on the way out. I will be there when the westerlies come.
