The advice from the QLD government is still to avoid the water. See link: www.msq.qld.gov.au/
Whilst most die hard wind-surfers will go any way, we should consider our duty of care as the committee of the club and its implications before running this event.
So a final decision on whether we race this weekend will be made Noon on Friday. Club members will be notified via email.

Given that the www.msq.qld.gov.au/ warning is still current, the committee has decided it would not be wise to race in Brisbane this weekend.
So we have moved round two to Lake Cootharaba !!!! ,
Note it will be one start !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
I went for a spin at Manly Wednesday arvo. It was terrible.
..Heaps of weed, sticks ,rubbish etc, every few metres. You couldn't race in it...
Epic 4 races at the lake this afternoon. ![]()
thanks to the LCSC (Charlie) for their help setting the course and providing 25-30 knots for the last race!
Yeah thanks to Charlie & LCSC, although his timekeeping skills were a little suspect on that 2nd race.
Good to see so many made the trip. Hard work holding the 8.4m sail in that last race. 12 to 25 plus knots in one race is hard to deal with.
Still laughing at Leo T-boning Calvets rig in the last race. Funny stuff![]()
What a session.
I have a mast imprint in my forehead
, from one of the random gusts launching me. If only Brad had a go pro!!
Man i feel for mikey - impressive that leo actually cut that mast in half. That's going into the dinner awards for sure. Sorry Mike.
Yeah could see how it wasn't funny for you Mike. It's just amusing because of the needle in a hay stack scenario.
Mikey i'd probably describe you more as a speeding control device, as opposed to my role as gybe obstacle. Hey if your up to do it again we could run a supercross style race.![]()
