Its the last round before the states!!

As all members should know by now we have scheduled another race meet this weekend. The notice has come out late as we have been holding off to see what forecast we will be dealing with. It looks like we will have a northerly so we are off to wynnum, which was spot on early in the season for some great fleets and memorable moments.

As usual sign on at 12.30-1.00pm, briefing at 1.30 and racing at 2.

Now this will be the last round of club racing before the Qld state titles on the 14th and 15th. So make every result count - as there are some red hot battles in all of the divisions.

See you on the water.

Esplanade side of the mouth of wynnum creek. Not really sure if it is north or south more likely to be east'ish. We may still get a reasonable notherley, It looks to be hot enough for a sea breeze.

If they got it right....carnage at the gybe marks[}:)]...especially if we get the 40 or so who have been turning up lately.
Vando, aren't you supposed to be mowing the lawn or something

Well, we didn't quite get the 20-25kts, but we were able to get 3 races in late, in what can only be described as very tricky conditions. It really suited the bigger gear and the lighter sailors - diet starts next week.

All in all about 30 turned out, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

As usual the fastest times were seen heading for the Barbie to get the elusive first snag.

Results will be posted on the Bayside web site.

Cheers all

Thanks again Bayside. We sorta lost on the wind, but it was a fun day anyway for me and the family - and windsurfing of the tough kind is better than just about anything else I could have been doing

Cheers,
H

Thanks again guys for a magic day, sure beat building the fence. The results are up on the Bayside site if anyone hasn't taken a look http://www.baysidesailboards.com.au/results.html.

Cheers also to Bart for the tip on the tack strap, pulling that on really made all the difference to the bottom end power. It just shows that with windsurfing you are always learning something.

Scotty, results are in Chris and I are a dead tie going into the last round, I think im buckling under the weight of expectation. We need to organise a lot of renovating jobs for Chris in the next few weeks so he has no time to practice. At least we need the bolt ons to spend more time around his house so he has no interest in sailing.

The pressure is on. I can't wait to share a beer with the winner and point and giggle at the loser...
