Another top arvo of fun. (1st three races were a bit dodgey for me windwise, but the last three were great) ![]()
A big thanks to the Bayside crew for a great afternoon of racing. Having had very little water time over the Christmas break I was glad just to be getting wet but by the end of the day I was fully lit on the 8.8 and having a blast.
Cracking racing again boys, well done all.
I am now going to have to get a 9.0 after watching Scotty flying past me!
The gear race begins, did you notice how far back my rear arm was on the boom when you flew past me in the last race. I needed all of my strength just to keep some sort of sheet on that big mother.
What a difference a couple of knots makes. The annoying thing was I had a board and rig (7.6) sitting on the beach. The correct tactic would have been to go in and get that rather than hanging onto big bertha.
It makes for exciting racing though and I had a couple of great dog fights to the line, which is always a lot of fun.
