Forecast looks interesting to try Ballina River. I have tried before but the wind died just as a couple of guys were coming in.
Anyone have any experience and advice here? I think its near the bridge with a bank in the middle which breaks right when large swell filters in on a ssw to sse. Looks like tomorrow. Any takers?

a few weeks ago... good

a few weeks time... also good

Right now, flat out at work in Brisbane every day and it never seems to blow on the weekend.

Just goes to show, sometimes your the windscreen, sometimes your the bug.

i tried it one easter many moons ago and it was heaps fun at the bridge, plus there was mega swell on ocean at the time

you get to try a turn or two before you hit the beach

i just sailed down from the yacht club

Thanks HC.
Other priorities have just taken me out. Might try later in the day locally.
Good luck all. Looks a little sw until more the middle of the day.

River mouth in front of the bridge can be really fun, swells to play on and on the right tide really smooth. We havent had a lot of wind here lately, mostly rain. (posted by ChopSuey not Gashed) oops
