Hi ep, yes arrived a week ago. So, you're packing up big gear. Would be nice to catch up again. Maybe I'll try to come down to the choochoo.

Hope to see you

Hey Ben, showed a friend how to windsurf yesterday. I'm a bit reluctant to giv0e away my own material. Do you know a shop here in Brisbane where you can hire beginner stuff?

Oh, for...
Gave up at 3.30. Was aaalmost, cmon, just a liiiitle bit more planing:

Still, light winds are really good training grounds.
Many, many tacks in a row, relearning them.

Thumb me down but it is fun to sail around a course in light winds. Every little movement counts. You learn a lot.

Not sure. Someone will probably suggest surfconnect... Thou personally I reckon hiring gear is ludicrously expensive. Like $200 can buy a old big board.. and rig a small sail for them... can't go wrong. I use an old plastic bombora, and rig my 5.3... its indestructable! Thou my learner was outta town today, so he didn't participate.

Ended up getting out at manly. Light wind was a bit of a laugh. Just bought a RDM, wind was light even for the 7m so rigged my 5.3 and went out on the shortboard to try to learn helitacks, FAIL. But hilariously, I managed to get planing on the small sail for like 50m. caught a tiny swell, it was amazing, and even did half a planing tack at the end

Anyway, after that I rigged the 5.9 and got a planing a bit more, but only a few runs. Then got on the 7m race gear for a few runs which was okay, but couldn't use the big fin, lost the bolt for it, and the small fin sux when its a bit underpowered. Spent most of the day tacking my shortboard with the 5.3, only dropped like 1 outta 20-30. Working that muscle memory, will be handy next time I'm in the waves
