see yous all at VP tomorrow. ![]()
7am and prob only about 2 hr session in 18-22 knots. that's if the computer model is right.
but i is desperate!
car has been packed and ready since friday last week.
who's up for it?
lol, not looking likely.
i passed one of the other guys on the way home. seems the squall convinced a few of us it was on.
got there to whitecaps, clear water and tiny little waves coming through.
Is there a time of year here, where the winds are always 15 knots?
I wanna go roadtripping to go find wind, but dont wanna find that wind suddenly kicks in first week of january....
I went down this morning on the strength of your call Gesty ![]()
There was bugger all at VP and wind seemed more nor-east so I went around to Pt Halloran - bugger all there. Went to Wello and there was 10 to 12 so I got rigged and wet and it rained and the wind (what little wind there was) stopped. I stood around in the water waiting for the rain to pass then I sat in the car and read a book for a while. Then at about 10 a bit of wind turned up and I had a pleasant sail up and down the bar with a 7.3 and a 70 wide board. After lunch more of the crew turned up.
It was lovely.
It sure beats working.
nice one dave,
i waited for the wind to come in and hit VP around 9.30-10, wind was blowinf SSE and looked like i might get some joy. then it went dead calm!
went home and worked. passed jinxy on the way. wind must have got him tempted also.
glad you got some tow mate.
greg,
monday it is mate. VP water was glorious! lack of wind has menat it's crysta lclear and the tides are way high. when it eventually blows it will be one of those epic sessions with good lines of swell coming through at high tide! just like last year. ![]()
