What a great day and not really predicted, great to see all the summer sailors creeping back to the water.

Went to the bin today. There was wind, there were waves, there were no wind and waves together.

It was breaking so far in (close to the groyne) and the wind wasn't making it in. the sand bar is so far in its hard to see how it would still break in the wind line unless the swell is massive or the wind much stronger. The beach south of the rock was ok but the waves were too small to break on the outer bank and were closing out pretty bad. It could have been so beautiful.

Has anyone got any experience at duranbah? I know a few people who used to sail it in the past on a se and said it was good. It was on the coastwatch report tonight with a stinking cross off breeze. Still the surfers might get pissed off - my van windows got spat on today at currumbin
