How good was sunday? For those who stayed. Around 11.00am 32+ S/SW (on the liar gauge) a fair bit of rain at first but with a 4.5 sail and a "WIND ACTION" fibreglass board did the highest controlled jump I think I've ever done. Sailed through till 3pm then changed to a 103litre F2 board and had an absolute ball. Have to give 10 points to Johny being out there for most of the day, I think he went to shore for an hour for a cup of tea. Saw Sue come a cropper 3 times with her 3.8m sail but congratulate her on giving it a go, as it wasn't for the faint hearted. The weed was a real **** with some danger spots lerking. We saw remnants of the old horror movies. When you went to water start you were sometimes carrying a weed monster with you. The sun came out around 3.30 pm which made it very difficult to see where we were going, so just rake back and hold on.
Looking forward to some more fast blasts and some big air at Canton through winter.

I couldn't see my hook when I went to hook in once because of the 6" weed belt I was wearing..I had to stop clear it and restart..The 18cm fin may have slipped a bit but at least the weed didn't feel to be an issue - unlike Mon when I stopped and took about a 5kg blob off the 38cm fin..
Re 32kts - I read 32 kts on the shore with my gauge and that wasn't necessarily the worst gusts..
I used to have a Windaction 9' slalom.. maybe I should have kept it?
