yes kurnell works in a westerly, however it can get pretty rough.
We however will be going to foreshore drive next to the runway.
water there is super on the north side of the runway in a westerly.
Its best in high tide when you an gybe in clsoe to the beach.
1. good from SSW all way around to the east. Generally more wind but can get a bit rough.
2. bonna point can work really nice in high tide BUT is offshore so dont sail there unless you confident of getting up wind. once the wind swings North this is prob windiest place in botany.
3. sandringham - really needs a deep south (SSW - SSE)
4. dolls - like kyemagh but more flukey - can get some interesting waves if the sweell is big. very strong tideal currents thru this section and too many kiters.
5, La per 0 decent option if you live north of botany. works ok in most southerlys. good for bump and jump. sometimes gets massive swells running thu the heads.
Havent added forshore roard to pic yet but in a Westerly it is really nice. no grass to rig up on tho and low tide you can find a few hidden rocks in close to the beach.
