I've been windsufing for a few months now in Sydney. I kind of miss the total beginner stages of the sport. Back then I never complained about lack of wind. As I got better and after investing in money in better gear, I found myself spending more time checking the wind graphs here than actually windsurfing. In the last two months I've probably had 3 days where there was enough wind to be fun.

Plenty of green arrows on the wind forecast for this wednesday. I wouldn't mind catching up with other forum users in Sydney on a good day. Any takers?

Craig - sounds like a good job, as long as you start around 8am.

Where's the best spot to launch from in Kurnell? I'll probably wait till the peak hour rush is over and head out there late morning, before midday. Hopefully there'll be a few others as well.

There was about 5 guys out at kurnell on wed -
Most ppl were on 6.2 to 6.7 rigs - We got hammered by those 30 knot gusts :)

Doing some really nice runs with Ken and Rob - totally out of control at times!

JJ wandered out a bit later on what looked to be a 5.5 or so and was practicing his forwards and stuff. you looked pretty good out there mate!

I sailed till i started cramping up in the legs had a stretch then sailed some more :)
Eventually tho just ran out of puff.

is kurnell steady in a westerly? because if i was on a smaller board and sail i wouldnt have made it to the shore at kyeegma because of the wind shadow.....my 277 103 litre f2 ride becomes a bit of a handful in these conditions and i would rather be on a smaller board. If i'm 60 kg then what sort of sized board do you reckon i'd be up for?

nice one Jaime. sounds good. unfortunately was only able to sneak out for a quick one so went for the closest location. Narrabeen was good for some nice gusts and some fast runs. some of the guys on slalom kit were flying on the flat water. starting to get a bit colder eh. if only I hadn't bought a house I could have ducked off for a Maui trip
