Kyeemagh is the prefered windsurfing location for a NE seabreeze on Botany Bay. There are two main areas you can park. Either at the new carpark which is located about 100 meters past the bridge that goes over what I think is Cooks Creek. Or you can park down a bit further in Bestic Street.

The parking is easier and there is more room at the new carpark but its a pain to walk down the path to the beach plus water taps are a long way away from where you park.

On the other hand the path to the beach is a bit easier to get down at Bestic Street and water taps are closeby, however it gets really busy there with all sorts of people and its hard to get a park there.

Based on last year's summer you wouldn't get out much on that gear. I usually used a 7.4 sail and a bigger board. Hopefully this summer is a bit sunnier and windier than last summer.

^ Yeah, two boards. Back on the GC I had two boards, with two sails each, and that covered everything. But you watch someone like Haircut sail 90% of the time with one board and one sail and the one board/two sails combo starts to look very appealing, especially now I'm cooped up in an apartment. Plus I'm getting a little bit wind snobby.

I guess it really depends on the season itself.

...There are bump & jump opportunities in Botany Bay, right? All youtube vids of Kyeemagh are looking very flat. Perhaps I'm looking at the wrong type of board entirely?

A good NE'r can look like this... With some good bumps




But a southerly is the go for B&J sailing in the bay.

I have doubts about a 7.4 now.
