Hi all,

The postponed Marmong Point Sailing Club Spring Regatta, kindly sponsored by The Windsurfing Shed, is scheduled for this Saturday, 26th November. Yes its still technically spring!

More details will be posted here during the week.

Racing will be Formula unless its windy enough for slalom (20 knots+). There will be open, and free formula (one lap) divisions.

Forecast is showing some wind, so we look forward to seeing lots of you up here.

A reminder about the regatta scheduled for Saturday. The forecast seems to have settled in a bit, looking like the morning may have the best wind.

Based on this forecast, to get the most of the one day of racing, racing will start at 10:30am, ie registration 9-10am, briefing 10am. A great opportunity to come up to Lake Macquarie for a full day of racing and be back in your bed Saturday night!

ONE DAY
REGISTRATION 9:00 – 10:00 HRS
BRIEFING 10:00 HRS
RACING 10:30 HRS

See you Saturday!

Also, I forgot to mention that if you paid and registered for the original Spring Regatta back in September that was postponed, you dont have to pay again.

Thanks James, sounds good. Can you please confirm the Street address as 1 Nanda St, Marmong Point (for those of us driving up there for the first time with SatNav).

Andrew,

If you enter in "11 George Street, Marmong Point" that will bring you right to the sailing club. As a guide it takes about 2 hrs to get here from Kyeemagh.

Look forward to seeing you!

Unfortunately the wind didn't cooperate again yesterday. At times it looked good for the 16 competitors, and we actually started three races, but they had to be abandoned as the wind was too light for even Marmongs enthusiastic standards.

A great vibe on the shore though and over the lunchtime BBQ. Thanks especially to Andrew, Justin, Chris, Artur and Remi for making the effort to come up from Sydney.

Our next event in the series is th Summer regata on Saturday 14th January, followed by the Lake Macquarie marathon race on Sunday 15th.
