What is a good place to stay for the Marmong regatta, just Saturday night. Nothing too fancy but close to the action.

gday geoff,

toronto and teralba both have caravan parks - teralba is closer but not sure about the quality. toronto has cabins etc.

warners bay has a motel (warners at the bay), cardiff motor inn is in cardiff, and Club Macquarie has a new motel (Macquarie Inn). All about 10 mins from the club.

Just a reminder -

Sat 13th is local government election day (where I live anyway, and I have not been in Syd long enough to know if it is the same everywhere).

There are no absentee votes at local govt elections, so if you are not going to be in your council area during polling hours you have to apply for a postal vote. The form is available at...

How did Sunday work out up there? Seabreeze said the direction was much the same but lighter. Hopefully less shifty than Saturday at least.

I'm going to start by saying thanks to guys at Marmong Point for putting on a great regatta, its really good to have a pre-season warm-up and get together.

Sam, to answer your question, Sunday was pretty good, lots of breeze, perhaps too much at times during the 2nd race. Its was shifty and gusty

but made for a bit of fun. JayBee saw me perform a classic catapult. Ant also has a new mistress, she called the top mark, he just wouldn't leave her alone

Yes, it was quite cool to see Lucifer go down in a blaze of spray. The whole ragdoll thing happened, and for a millisecond I felt for you. But I quickly came to my senses again.

One thing I have noticed is that I always have my big crashes when I am next to Tibor. Does he throw away banana skins, or something else?
