Reminder that rego will be at 10.30-11am...we cannot start until the wind is 12knots though, which hopefully will be as predicted late morning?
Very, very epic. We don't get 30kt winds very often in Sydney. With confused chest high chop coming in all directions at the outside mark and it was very challenging to gybe and stay afloat. We managed to get in two races before everyone called it a day.
Lots of catapults!!! I certainly lived up to my pseudonym...
Great day on the water, forecast exceeded expectations which resulted in “Survival Slalom”.
I'm sure everyone who turned up had a fantastic arvo and learned how to push the limits and sail just a little bit better in these conditions for next time.
Also refreshing to see a few new faces turn up and hope they continue to encourage more people to come along to these events as it is a great opportunity to meet and have a sail with like minded people.
Thanks again to Brett for his organisational efforts and course setting and Chris for running the boat around.
Intense afternoon! Thanks for organising Dave 'n Brett and others. I think Brett missed the start of his first race because he had only just finished putting the markers out (?). Top pics!
Geez Ads I thought your out of control bum out hanging on for dear life sailing was quite stylish
Thanks Rexy, but for those that weren't there, opinions are best kept to themselves! Any ways, as I was telling T Ford yesterday,...I was just popping the board onto the plan with a little sail pump? As you can see, the wind was a little fluky,.tricky to get going!
