Just a note for people getting to the event.

There is a Cycle to the Gong, and they leave St Peters from 6:15am - 8:00am and they go down the Grand Parade. They wont be an issue unless you plan on getting to Ramsgate REALLY early (from the north anyway).

If you are coming from the south, there is no right hand turn into the carpark. Consider taking a left at Sandringham Street into Chuter Avenue. At the second roundabout (about 2km) hang a right into Barton Street. At the end of Barton turn right (traffic lights) into the Grand Parade, and then you can do a lefty into the carpark at the junction of Emmaline.

Was there multiple AUS-3 on the course?
Sort of like starting a Marathon with one racer, but having a 2nd runner with the same number finishing for you....I knew something was afoot.
