Wednesday until midnight: Northwest/northerly winds increasing to 20/30 knots this morning then strengthening to 30/40 knots during this afternoon. Winds reaching 40/50 knots offshore tonight. Seas of 2 to 4 metres rising to 4 to 6 metres during the afternoon. West to southwesterly swell 2 to 3 metres.
Thursday: North/northwest winds 35/45 knots, reaching 50 knots offshore, shifting westerly in the morning at 35/45 knots, 50 knots in the south, then gradually moderating to 30/40 knots later in the day. Seas 5 to 7 metres, decreasing to 4 to 6 metres during the day. West to southwesterly swell gradually increasing to 3 to 5 metres by evening.

Pitty to hear, 44 in that much West should be a 50 in a SW, so Slowie on track for sure. Mal should of done ok too I guess in those tight conditions.

A Wavesail would of been the go too, good swell......

Day was a real disappointment with the wind staying west to WNW most of the day. It blew plenty hard though. I got 30-40 knots on mt gauge, averaging 35 just past the staging area which is still behind the lower dunes at about 8am. But it was a few degrees north of west.
There were certainly stronger gusts than 40 knots, quite a lot of them! But very ugly and broad conditions on the course. I only managed a bit over 40 knots and had some scary spin outs. Just couldn't put the pedal down.
About 2pm the wind veered slightly south of west to a fair angle but it also eased off quite a bit and the tide was rushing in fast.
Nice to get out there and feel the elements getting angry though.

Maybe next Wednesday..............

Looks good for Tuesday actually. Direction looks better too. Maybe not as strong as the 26th. Low tide at 3pm?

Looks like sailquick is right. Wednesday may be the pick, but the tide's against us. Also looks every bit as strong as the 26th was, even stronger.
