Hey Daffy , look what I found.
Rubberized wrist gps (with band extended). Sirf3. 60,000 trackpoint. Recording interval adjustable from 1 sec. Rechargable Li-Ion battery. Trackpoints downloadable in Nmea (and KML, CSV, Text, GPX or RMC format) plus many many more features at about half the price of a Forerunner. I note they say "water tolerable" rather than waterproof but being lower profile than a Foretrex it might be less likely to build up large water pressure than the Garmin in wipeouts. Looking at the files download it seems at least able to measure every metre so that's twice as good as a Garmin but probably not as accurate as a Navi.

Looks good on first glance but further study reveals that the NMEA data is only the RMC sentence which does not include HDOP and satellite info. It only includes Speed Over Ground, position and heading. Not good enough for us but better than the Foretrex as it at least has 'Doppler speed'. They claim the unit tracks altitude as well so maybe this is in the .GPX data but not the NMEA data?
EDIT: On reading further I see a sceenshot that includes GGA and GSA NMEA data as well so what I read must just be a misleading error in the specifications.
Additionally, if it is standard NMEA data presentation it probably does not go to enough decimal places to have the precision we desire.
IPX7 is not waterproof enough and I would be worried about popping a watchband pin in a crash and losing the unit.
How much $ are they?
