Is Chittaway point any good for speed

Hi Guys

Has anyone sailed Chittaway Point on the NSW central coast as far as speed sailing in southerlies? From google it looks like it's a pretty flat point and reasonably long.

Interesting. I haven't been there but the southern shore of that lake is quite aweful with the amount of weed thats built up there. Its very difficult to actually get into the water as you have to walk through rotting weed heaped up around 1 meter deep. Its muddy and stinks.

Google Earth's images looks quite muddy and weedy too but perhaps there is an access point somewhere.

That whole lake system is silting up and will turn into a swamp unless something is done about it.
