Thats fantastic!

With the huge windsurfing population in the UK it will be interesting to see how long before the GTC catches on there. The GTC is by far the best and most interesting windsurfing movement happening.

Having a recent look at the GPSSS forums, there looks like there'll be 4 to 5 teams from the UK & Ireland and one from Netherlands. 2010 is going to be really interesting from an international perspective (I get the feeling the GPSTC is about to go gang busters - where can we buy some shares? )

Swagger,
So where's Portland??????
I just had a look in our GB road atlas and it's not in the index.

Anyway, go well in the challenge and have fun wherever you sail.

Ok,
Portland is on the tip of Dorset in the English channel its an Island joined to the mainland by a 2 mile road across a beach which is known as chesil beach which is awesome thing in its self (wikipedia it and see for yourself).

Portland harbour is 1 of the origins of speedsailing, records used to be held here crossbow was a catamarang that had the record in the seventies before windsurfers took over for a while.
Speedweek is still held every year but not as popular as the days of old but we still get the likes of Bjorn and Anders here. Back in the 80's Fred Haywood broke some records on this turf but with all the other places around the world being found and lack of wind it lost its popularity with the elite majority.

And on the Jesus thing he may bring miracles coz he has just got back into windsurfing like myself and is going bloody quick (to my dislike lol).

Oh just a quick one we sail Portland harbour and are not from there its a local hiccup most of us live in Weymouth or further afield.
LOL.
cheers,

Swags...
