IRL-250
Yes, welcome indeed.
Don't worry, we'll take it easy on you for the first few months as we wouldn't want to make you jealous of the crystal clear warm turquoise waters and reliable seabreezes around here this time of year.
Did I mention perfect white sandy beaches...![]()
I'll hopefully start posting on the site soon but it's f***ing freezing here at the moment. It's so cold that the pipe that supplies water to the house has frozen and we have no water ![]()

Hopefully it will warm up soon as my new 2010 KA Koncepts should be arriving soon and i want to get them on the water ![]()

Yeah you probably did. Sean did alot of racing back then. He still sails but only for fun but steve is getting him into GPS Speedsailing.
Steve has been doing well while competing in the past year and finished the recent Speed World Cup Europeans in 3rd place
Cool Alastair,
I have been following Steve's results, very impressive indeed. Dungarven was the location of many raceboard events (held at the Gold Coast hotel), and many trips into town for onion rings, but never considered as a speed sailing location. We used go to Lady Island Lake for speed sailing back then.
Glad to hear that Sean is still sailing, last time I met him it was at East Ferry (Cork Harbour) and he was with Rory and Cully Allen, enjoying a pint or two at Dirty Murphs.
Ah, the good old days (makes me feel really really old to say that),
John
Welcome aboard ISKs.
Hope you get some warm winds soon!
I left the uk as I wanted to find a better location to sail! It has made me soft, wore a full winter suit on 1/1/10 as the air temp was mid teens!
