My gt-31 and firmware is about a year old. i have downloaded the firmware from the mt best site, and use winrar to unzip the file. i follow the instructions to install
but fail at around 90%. i hope for some help here please.

Whereabouts are you located?
There will probably be some speed gurus within shouting distance...
East coast newcastle area, and not many folk here with the gt31. it seems to work
ok with old fw with speed and distance its main workout.

Are you using Windows VISTA?
If so, that's your problem... or their problem depending on how you look at it.
I struggled for 2 weeks with this problem until the Locsys techs admitted that
they have incompatibility problems with VISTA. Use a computer running XP and
you should be alright.

Glad you got it done.
Locsys had me jumping through hoops for 2 weeks before they admitted
that they were having problems with VISTA. I've tried to warm people about
the issue. Thankfully, once it's been updated, you can bypass the Locsys
software and just use the SD card directly.
