Well, that's obviously not a windsurfing track.
The "Score" and PBs work is throwing a lot of these kinds of tracks into relief. I'm cleaning up vast quantities of spurious data from the past few years, which is a slow process (and is also partly why there is still some movement in the 2015 scores table.)
I've fixed this track, but there are still over 1000 anonymous windsurfing tracks with speeds over 40kts, and not all of them are drives home. I don't have time to check every one, but I'm working on it.
If anyone wants to note any obviously non-windsurfing tracks here I'll clean them up. I do have plans in this area, so stay tuned.
And the 2015 point scores is-----? What? You realise that the "Points" in the track log is just the number of trackpoints in the file? It's got nothing to do with Scores, which are based on sailing ability.

If the anon uploads drop below 10% I'll start thinking about switching it off. At the moment, almost 20% of uploads are still anon.

sorry swallowtail that was my track I was in my car testing my GW-52 and downloaded to see the tracks
My top 3 2 sec scores on KA 72 are errors - two spikes, and one on the drive home.
When in doubt guys, check out the KML file on Google Earth and you will quickly see it's guys like me and Keefy trying to get these devices to work... Rarely does anyone actually upload the files against their profiles if they're only testing their units.
Hi there Dylan, on the KA.72 site on the Score leaderboard all it said is "table of scores for all Windsurfers for 2015",
nothing about trackpoints in the file, could you explain what these are. Thanks.

In KA72 you can look up your tracks in "My Data", click on the overlay and then click on the KML in brackets. This will get you a Google Earth overlay where the sections corresponding to your results are highlighted. If they all look smooth and are over water you should be OK. The 10 seconds and peak 2 seconds are a bit hard to see sometimes but the Alpha in green and the Nm in Cyan are obvious. What's the light blue?

Each GPS file is made up of a bunch of GPS coordinates. Each pair of coordinates is a "trackpoint". If your GPS is a GT-31, there is probably 1 trackpoint per second. A higher resolution GPS (like the GW-52) might have 5 or 10 trackpoints per second.
It gives some idea of the size of the file. That's all.
If you think there is something more useful to put on the recent uploads log, I'd like to hear about it. I am aware that using the word "Points" nearby to the word "Score" on the same page might make people think they were somehow related, but they aren't. (I could put Kilometres, for instance. I'm thinking of adding a PB mark too, and maybe an indicator that the file was posted to a competition.)
Think of the "Score" as a rating of your sailing performance for the year. It's not about PBs, but about whether you are sailing well in the places you sail. (So if you go to Lake George and break 40kts, it's not worth as much as staying home and breaking 40kts.)

The first one was easy. The GPS read 55 knots! The second one of 38 knots was also incredible given my ability at the time. The third one at 34.14 I was hoping might have been correct but looking at the track showed it was on the drive home. 
Well, without track ids I can't quickly check, but so far 100% of the time when people tell me they changed the track type and they go back and check it isn't changed, so please take another look. If you look at the track in My Tracks and it's not a windsurfing track, give me the track Id and I'll fix it.

About 50% of the time I forget to turn off the GPS before heading off home. Until there is a track-editing ability, this "driving home problem" is going to be one of the biggest technical reasons for this suggestion being unworkable.
Track editing is an offline activity at present. You will need to use client-based software to do it.
I plan to add it to ka72, but it's not going to happen in the near future.
You can join tracks already with the GT-31. Splitting means using other software like GPSResults, but you'd have to do that anyway if you wanted to post on to GPSTC.
Perhaps you should put a post-it note on your steering wheel?

What's stopping you from joining your files with a third party app and then posting to GPSTC via KA72?
If I am already using a 3rd-party tool to manipulate the files, then it pretty much mitigates the entire context of the discussion of "being open with the tracks".

Ahh.. post-it's and wind don't really go together. But yes - indeed my fault - but I wouldn't want my day's effort to be lost just because I forgot to stop the data-logging.
Indeed GPSResults has a filter-by-time and trackpoint-delete options... which is indeed how I post to GPSTC.

yes, sorry, I'm afraid that 40kt at Boggy Lake is worth almost twice as much as 40kt at LG.
Here are the most valuable places in each state Australia to sail 40kts in (aka the hardest places to reach 40kts based on ka72 data)
Green Point, VIC
Beauty Point, TAS
Queens Beach, QLD
Huskisson, NSW
Cottesloe, WA
Boggy Lake, SA

Isn't this a perfect example of why we shouldn't go down the path of "Mandatory use of KA72 with GPSTC"
Everyone accepts what comes out of KA72 without question within reason and why wouldn't they, there is no check apart from Google Earth showing whether it was in the water or on the road. 34 knots is within the realm of most so why would they question it?
Ive just included the drive home so how do i edit it out of there? then can I delete it from GPSTC and re lodge without the trip in the car.
You need to run it through a program like realspeed and edit out the drive home. If you don't have such a program you can email it to someone who does. Usually you send it to your team captain, but as you are the captain... You can send it to me if you like. If you PM me I'll give you my email address.
