Camera was fine, it was the Teletubby bobble head that was the problem Just had a look at the strip a few minutes ago. The tide is out and I am pretty sure I can see Donald Trump playing a round of golf.
Wind was SSW, I dont think there is quite a nauti in the weed just yet, as the weed does not quite extend far enough west just yet....I think we will get more growth for the next month or two. Last year the weed peaked in early December, but then we had a unseasonal low push through which dislodged the western end of the bank.
I was on a 6.3 and 92SL Dave and later on the 115 as i couldnt be bothered to change sail. Should have been on a 7 and 100. Had a great time though, nice and cruisy. Pitty i dont have the choice of boards you do though. Ive only got 8.

Just out of interest and by way of comparison: the 'bigness' of Boombas on the SE corner of the Peel Estuary and its nautical mile runs; (Fangys is up out of frame, but on the NE corner of the same body of water)
Grooving in the smoothe at Fangys. Apologies for the wobbley camera.
WOW...Still swooning from experiencing that part of the golf course at Xmas time earlier this year. It realy was a magic carpet ride and great bunch of pin heads to enjoy it with .
decrepit said.. Not a lot of difference then. But Fangys just may have a slight edge, depending how good the weed is.
Problem with Budgy is getting the wind from the right direction to get long runs.Winter westerlies are good but generally puffy..NE's you get a lot of gybe practise.. I love W- WSW but we don't get them very often.

Cant see the 'problem' Sue. You have it. It is very flat. It is in your backyard. It gets windy many times a year. It is safe. What is there not great about that?

Yeah I suppose "problem' wasn't a good choice of word..
sboardcrazy said.. How deep would it be in that video?
I would guess about 0.7m on average Sue, with a range of 0.5->1m. And don't worry about Sailquik, he doesn't understand the cumulative stress of having a perfectly flat nautical mile of water in your backyard and not being able to sail it everyday. Perhaps if we re-name the run at Sandy Point, to something like 'Garmins' , he would understand the feeling of stress we face everyday.

Wow that depth would be great! You could use decent size fins..
