Maui & Antartica

i heard coco's keelng islands are good but the kiters have made pilgrimages there often

none the lest someone out there must know where the windsurfer paradise residestill then i will just leech these forums until my local winds pick up

I think Chris is still in Maui mode.
Then again I look at the Google shots of the north shore all the time and I havent been since 06.
I love that shot of Camp One.

I've managed to convince my girlfriend that we need to spend two weeks there next year Love that place!

Maui does not fit your criteria. There are many swimmers there and the pressure is on to close beaches to windsurfers during much of the day to make it safer for them. Plus many kiters go there too. Big crowds creates bad vibes and regulations. Plus its full of yanks.

Based on the other thread, perhaps Lord Howe Island would be better for you. You can have the whole lagoon and reefs to yourself, Lordhowe and a few fortunate visitors.

I agree with Mobydisc (as much as I hate it )and his obvious comment: it's full of yanks. As a place to live, you have to be prepared to live with that and agree with them - else, that's all.

He's also right that there are fewer windsurfing-able beaches than used to. One would have to choose the living spot more carefully than 20 years ago, when you could launch from just about anywhere.

You can buy me beer, mate, but me ain't gonna scratch you anywhere, not even with a barge pole.

Having said that, if ever you come Hawaii, Hatteras or Florida, let me know. I try to sail those places when I'm around for other matters.
