I saw this a week or so ago, the one thing that doesn't make sence is the interior shots don't seem to have any space allowance for the extension to fit back inside the van.

I would like to see a few pics of the inside with it all folded away.

you could probably also leave the bed down when doing this at a guess.

Probably designed by IKEA. The Swedes are good at that sort of thing...

Warning:

If you push the button too long once you are ready to leave camp.
Your double back might end up with a slightly different design……..

@ aus301, believe me, ….
You do not want to see the pictures of the mess this is gonna make to the interior if this is happening…

The Doubleback is far too expensive for the average windsurfer but the average windsurfer can afford one of these: www.travellerhomes.co.uk/?p=2778 javascript:insertsmilie('')

A complicated, weighty and expensive way to increase the volume of a van by 25%. Wouldn't you just just get the next size up van? Then again a van will end up full no matter what the size. What's that old saying? Nature abhors a vacuum.

I saw a very crude version of this idea at a caravan park at Surfers around mid last year. It was an alloy box that slid out of a Hiace van adding 50% more body length when the tailgate was raised. I thought it was a pull-out commercial fridge at first till I saw the flyscreened windows. It was fugly as a hatful but I admired its practicality by adding extra living space.
