I had to run this past a qualified critic. My 18 month old daughter is "into" the Tele-tubbies, and she was stoked. There is no hope for future generations!

Pierre - I suppose 'cotton wool kids' also means the area too afraid to windsurf too

Jordo - I watched the first 30sec and turned it off, if there isn't any windsurfing at the end of that clip, then i'm afraid you may be losing it!

I too watched about 30 seconds and turned it off. Not sure what it has to do with windsurfing. Just crap rap with some stupid characters dancing.

Yeah kids now days are moddy cuddled a bit too much. I really don't understand why parents are afraid of their kids going out of their sight. There were kiddy fiddlers around in the 70s and 80s when I grew up and I doubt there are that many more around today per capita.

Sure some kids might get killed. I had a couple of friends die when I was young. One was electrocuted when the mast of their catameran hit an overhead powerline. He was about 12 years old. Another friend died when he fell off the back of a truck driving on the beach. He was about 14.

Some of my best times growing up was at Nambucca Heads. Both my parents worked so during summer holidays my mum would pack the esky for me and drop me off at a park by the side of the river with my windsurfer and I'd go windsurfing all day. Great winds back then too. If I have kids I will be quite happy to do the same for them if they like windsurfing.

I often tell my niece and nephew that strangers are friends they have not met yet.

Its the IF that makes me laugh Moby. When your in the position of actually being responsible for your kids safety you may adjust the stance a little.

I too had a fabulous upbringing and freedom of sailing in Port Stephens every Summer arvo after school. One day I was pretty lucky after a gear breakage and was drifting seawards through the heads too far out for paddling. As dusk brough a lone fishing boat into the bay, he kindly picked me and gear up and dropped me back at Jimmys Beach with a very bruised ego.
Maybe a liitle too much freedom back then. Of course we are always prone to overreacting to counter the previous generations tendencies.
