i want to design my own freeride board and build it but not sure how??
how about we go back to the start, now we haven't heard from switch for a while so i think hes off the idea

the way i see it again is, he wants to build a freeride, now if he cant find a board already made then make one, simple as that
i wouldn't class myself as a board designer or builder but there isn't a board on the market suited to the conditions i sail in so i make them, now if i sailed at sandypoint and sailed the speed strip and walked up the bank i would build a board with less than 100mm because there the sailing conditions i would be sailing in and i dont think you can buy a board with less than 100mm rocker
going back to my first post about redesigning an old board, taking into consideration that you know sweet FA about designing 90% of the shaping has already been done, with that board there is no divinycell because it has a polyurethane hard core all you need is some extra glass in the stress areas
there is no vac bag because you don't need it , all you need is the bleeder peel ply, the reason i didn't use the vac bag is i couldn't get my switch on the pump to cut out at under 15kpa, didnt want to disturb the rocker even with a rocker template
i now Ive had the board to 34 on the dial and a 22+alpha , i own a CA55 and a CA44 and the best i can get out of either of them is 31 and i doubt if i could get a 20 alpha on the44
so if you do your sums you can design a board for your sailing conditions for under $180 that's taking into account that you can get a hardcore board for $10 at your local tip or a giveaway on buy and sell
now I'm expecting a few red thumbs from the board designers and builders for the comments on no divi.and no pump and maybe a couple from the sandypoint guys so go ahead I'm ready for them

ps enchunda
ill take a pic of maxie after ive cleaned it up and a bit presentable, i'ts looking a bit sad

after a few modifications
