Bombora proto, not sure of length or size. It was plain with no graphics. Quite short and wide with a step tail. It was a sweet little board to gybe.

I'm more of a keeper.

Kept my 1991 John Hall Slalom 120L. Fore-runner to the Hybrid. Fast - but hard to gybe.

Kept my 1988 Cloud Wave Custom 9'2" but fitted a new mast track further back more recently. Sweet to gybe but not quick as it was relatively heavy!

Both still OK to use but not as good as the newer ones I have. So they are gathering dust in the garage rafters.

Still thinking one day my kids will ask me to teach them and they will want one of these boards. One day..... maybe.

Yeah, I agree! The mistral flow was a fun board to sail. I had two of them green and the blue one.

i have been sailing (seriously) for well over ten years and still have every board (including most endeared board of all time - the mistral flow). i don't know why as i only sail my most recent board, but i can't bear to part with any of them. some sort of non-treatable OCD i expect.

oh, except the family one design I learnt on as a nipper - dad gave that away. one day i hope to be able to forgive him.

Another vote for the Bombora Proto 8ft Thruster. Mine was green with this super cool paint job that looked like a stained glass window. magic board , way ahead of it's time.
Sold it to a mate I haven't seen in a long time.
Why did I do it!!!!!

Yes but not too crazy. I'm only asking $1500 for this one:

I had the original legend, a Mistral Screamer 94L (the one with the batwing design), sweet board. It was replaced by a JP FSW 91, 2003, another one of my favorites.

It's good!

Problem is, I have to leave most of them up at one of the investment places 'cause the wife won't let them in the house 'cause she needs space for her boards.
