Hey ShearTip, thats what I do as well. Work 8am-4pm on windy days in summer and then get back onto the email later that night. That way you can get a couple of hours sailing in before dark. I usually log back in to check emails later that night.

I have just got approval for wireless wan access into our corprate network, so now I can be sitting on the beach waiting for wind and still working. Thats my plan for this summer at least.

Absolute ** arse. Don't go there. Used to be rentals there. The snake pit is still there?

In them's parts, I prefer going down the airport strip, Brighton, even better Ramsgate (cleaner on a NE), even cleaner and quieter Dolls Pt and Sandrinham.

Actually, I had a little talk with my boss a couple of years ago. The result: I always start at 9:15, but 2 or 3 days a week, I finish at 12:15!! So I actually get to windsurf or laze around at the beach 4-5 days a week. Not bad - if only there was more wind!

Earlier this year, I found a new job which paid better, but I quit after 3 months and came back to this one, because the hours are so good. I get paid pretty poorly compared to a lot of people in Australia, but then again it's not too bad, and I get to live in a great place like Singapore.

I am living proof of this.When i was thirty i got divorced and lost everything.So i got rid of everything i coudn't fit in the car and didn't need,quit my job and drove to WA just to windsurf.I managed to keep this lifestyle going for four years!!
Sure i lived on tined tuna and rice and lived in a tent but it was the best time of my life.
You just have to believe and do it....

Stribo, Nebs, I don't know what to say...I'm still on a high from today's EPIC Singapore session - this arvo it blew a solid 10 knots for almost an hour, sheer formula heaven, fully powered on my 9.8 and loving it as I passed those poor people on their tiny little 7.5s like they were standing still - now you're gonna call me a sad b@$t@rd, I know...

OK so I've GOTTA stay here til the middle of next year for dire financial reasons, but after that I know I need to leave this place and go to where the real wind is...I realized today that I can get my drivers licence easier here in Singapore than in Oz, so I might as well do it while I'm here. Maybe I'll see you guys in a year or so, and I'll probably be living in a tent like you did, Stribo.

Nebbian, I don't know what you're talking about. Your knot tying was superb, and I'm eternally grateful for the nice save you did on the way back from the Train that time, when my golf buggy died...
