Would love one of your boards, but I find it really hard to justify the cost. No offence.

Its not as bad now with the dollar being a bit stronger, your boards are only around $600. Before they were around $750 which is way more than I could drop on something I'm not certain will get used a lot. $600 is still a decent 2nd hand windsurf board.

This will not help your windsurfing.. The whole point the the turfdog is the rotating front wheels and the fact you can use it on sand and grass.. I know loads of the boys who have been sailing this thing for years and they all learn freestyle really fast.. Getting the action for hellitacks, upwind360s, flakas and switch moves is a piece of cake on this. And then its just a matter of taking it to the water.. But a regular skateboard will be rubbish for anything remotely useful..

It wont make your freestyling instantly better but if you put the hours in and learn all the actions like clockwork your halfway there. I must admit I personally never spent much time on the one in vass, I was always to arrogant and hung over.. And I still can't switch chachoo! maybe it would have helped?

If I was looking at setting up somewhere to have these boards tested in Australia. I was thinking of a couple of shops I could get interested in the boards. Does anyone have any names or emails for shops in areas where people are interested in these types of boards.

Also in reply to the just drill a hole in a skateboard. I used to do that in it works really well and is a laugh. The only problem is it does not simulate mast foot pressure in the same way as turfdog does. Thats why I got involved in turfdog as it improved my sailing so much when I could not get on the water, as it give a more realistic simulation.

I would say if you just want to mess about when there s no wind then go for the skate board or mountain board. However if you want a significant improvement in your windsurfing on land and learn the basis for modern freestyle e.t.c then go for a turfdog.
