No different to windsurfing talk, which is just a more narrow narrative than kiteboarding speak

PS: Enjoyed the video!

So funny, so accurate, thanks for the post.

In all fairness, the "I feel the wind" and "I only got out in..." is that kind of stuff we used to hear long time ago at windsurfing too. I think those attitudes change as a sport (an activity in this case) moves from a fad to an established thing.

My wife always mimics my phone conversation with the other local w/surfers...(takes the p!ss).

"What's the wind like...ya reckon it's a 6.4 wind, or strong enough for my 6.0 or 5.6...if you're on your 5.7 then I better load my 6.4...nah, I'm not taking the 135, I'm only loading the 109...my 6.5 is too big for the 109 unless I use a 34 fin"...etc.

**** Programmers Say

This brought back some memories.

A rather unusual IT colleague, around 20 years ago, sometimes used the Fword when programming. However, no one actually made a formal complaint.

However, he began to add in the Cword, which eventually led to his downfall.

PS: This guys name was Grant, but his nickname was Grunt, because that's the sound he made when answering his work phone.

Cheers
