Just got the sad news from a friend of mine that Owen Palliers (i believe he was Greenroom on seabreeze) was involved in a car accident last night and tragically passed away as a result.
I didn't know Owen personally, only by his posts on here and from my friend telling me of his crazy windsurfing/surfing exploits. From what i have heard, he was quite the waterman who ventured across multiple disciplines.
his brother started a go fund me to help the family pay for his funeral:

RIP Greenroom
This can't be true
Fk - Greenie? I'm devastated, no words
Unfortunately it is, Such a loss, he will be missed by many.
Unbelievable sad news im absolutely dumbstruck. We had plans to play in gnaraloo this year. One of life's watermen. Sendinguch love to his family
Incredibly sad news, spent time sailing with Owen and found him lovely man, life can be so cruel at these times![]()
That's aweful news. Owen was such a friendly soul. I really enjoyed our chats in the carpark at Boaties or Cow Bay or the Point. Owen was always upbeat and positive, even if it was too big, too small, too windy or not windy enough. The SW windsurfing community is a small, close knit family that Owen was a big part of. Owen, we'll all miss you. Jens
Thoughts to his family, friends and all those that knew him through this community. Seabreeze is how I met him. he was always up for a chat and a story. super humble guy, world is a better place for guys like Greenie.
Super guy. He was always stoked to be on the water. Brought a happy vibe to those around him. Ride on mate. Attached a couple photos from many years ago when he was a regular at Mettams.

Only just heard this a couple of days ago.Met Owen a couple of times, fantastic fellaabsolutely devestated ... thoughts go out to his family
Although we never met in person, he was very much a character in the early days of Seabreeze that I will always remember. Very sad to hear it and thoughts go to his family.
I know its already been posted in the WA forum, but for those who may have missed it.

I met him during a clinic run by pro free diver. Man he could hold his breath a long long time. He was very friendly and plenty down here knew & sailed with him. All losses are terrible and when a local waterman leaves us it hurts far and wide.
