I have several AMF Alcort Sailboards, Tiga, sailboards that were retired by a MN Boy Scout camp in the mid-90s. I believe they have the word "one" repeated on the bow several times. I am trying to remove / salvage the mast foot attachments from one of the hulls. I do not see any hardware fasteners. I have rotated the plastic units from the top and bottom of the hull without any success in removal. Please let me know how to remove the units.

Probably stating the obvious, but have you rotated the top and bottom in opposite directions (at the same time). i.e. are they two halves that unscrew apart?

Grumplestiltskin, Thanks for the reply. I gave it another try and you are correct. Unfortunately, it appears the halves are also glued. I destroyed one attachment in the process of separating the halves. The plastic is getting brittle. Thanks again. ToadG

if you are salvaging..ie wrecking out the board, why not cut the plastic of the board around it so the whole unit comes out and you may be able to figure how to address , cut thru or disolve the existing glue, youre tossing the board right.
