It's hard to believe really, is this possible? A vmax of 13.5 kts in 6knots, and no not a formula, but a long skinny board???

Check it:

hards, matt and nebs your looking at what i think is the predecessor to the next outline for a speedboard that will easily break 50..it's always like a cycle they came out short and narrow, long and narrow, wide and stubby, less wide and longer and here it comes...

That was discussed on starboard a while back is a place in Greece and when the wind begins to blow apparantly doesn't hit water for a while, so it's supposed to be stronger than it looks????

That board wasn't planing, its a displacement board like the old Div 2s.

I imaging this board would be a shocker to gybe, tack or do anything except go fast in light winds, but thats the price you pay.

Div 2 boards do plane, although not as fast as other boards on a reach (they're not so slow square downwind).

The Serenity is interesting to sail but seems to turn much more slowly than a Div 2 and the fixed skeg, length and shape seem to make it much less versatile because it's harder to get it planing fast downwind.

It would be awesome to see a "video of that photo", how smooth a ride must that be!?!?!
