Done a video of me trying to put a sail together (never done it before )

My neighbour must think Im crazy!!

Um is it ment to be that hard???????

I think the boom is all jammed up and cant adjust it either, shall I just put CRC on the adjusters?

Any advice? I really have no idea what Im doing!!

Please help OB1

Yea I will take some pics tonight.

Is the mast sposed to just slip into the sail or is sposed to be tight?

This is all second had gear and Im not sure if its compatible.

Yes pics and more detail I guess.

No video that would just make me look stupider

We aren't here to judge ;).

The mast should not be tight in the luff sleeve. Is the sail cammed?

The mast should not be tight in the luff sleeve. Is the sail cammed?



MMmmm cammed, thats a new word the sail has a concave shape now the mast is stuffed in it. Now I know what luff is to.

The boom is the bit that is really not working cant adjust at all.

I will take note of the brands ect and post pics, I think its a 6.0m sail.

have a try at searching youtube windsurf rigging vids.

these ones are probably not the best but at least a start. just an example of what to search for

Here's a non cammed sail being rigged (RAF type sail)



and here's a cammed one

like in the first video, just make sure your sail has the target logo on it somewhere. if it doesn't, you've been ripped off

the age and brand of the sail will have some influence over how the sail rigs, but much of the info provided in the videos will be general
