Pretty cool. Has anyone sailed say a JP cruiser 12'6" or similar SUP race or narrow cruiser board.

Another great video DJ. Kinda wishing my Naish SUP had a mast screw/slot. What's the idea with the upside down hook? :-)

I sail Starboard K15, when i'm desperate to get out on the water (i never paddle it).
It gives an enjoyable sail in very very light winds it just glides through the water with ease
and if the wind picks up it can be great fun too.No good at picking up waves/swell.

Have also got a Starboard SUPer 12'6'' which gives a different experience this one
does pick up waves/swell,but in light winds the K15 is much faster.

DJ, your last couple of vids with you sailing on the Nalu got me motivated...took my 11'6" & WS gear to the beach today. I don't have a flash vid camera, so took a photo of the setup.

Unfortunately for the Nalu, the wind came through a bit stronger than I had expected, so it didn't get wet...my Fanatic Shark did instead!

For prosperity;

Thanks.. I've heard the big 11'6' doesn't like to plane.. But they also said that about the others ..

Great video - some of my best days on the water are with my Naish 11 6 and 5 m gator catching small unloved swell and breaks around Perth

The Cruiser sails nicely. Flatter tail than most boards let it get up and run nicely. Always one on demo if you're keen to try.

Sam.

Nope. I was always a hook down person. There was some thought that hook up avoids accidental hook ins and makes it easier to unhook.
