Shortest sail Ive ever had.I rigged up & was about to beach start & saw this..I was SO tempted to go out for one run but common sense got the better of me..
I suppose its had a good innings but has anyone got a boom end like this sitting around..It might be a Tyronsea one..? I have been told its a much wider angle than modern booms.

Re spares..Thats promising..I must admit the part of me that doesn't think about the wallet went Yeehaa! when I saw the damage..I can finally get a a decent boom! Better research cheap options first although if I do upgrade Ill have a boom long enough to fit my 6.2m sail! I wont have to work the boom down from the top over the batten ends & Ill be able to outhaul it properly!A while ago when I was talking to one of the shops they said that you couldnt get a mast fitting that wide anymore..

I have two of those laying around in the garage, look very very similar.
Never really bothered trying them out thow

i believe there 150-200. and blue grip instead of black. otherwise clamping system looks exactly the same

Take it back to the shop where you bought and ask if they would swap it under warranty. The look on their face - priceless

i have one of that in fact what you need!! i kept it yrs. ago hoping one of these days i'd need it too bad your'e in Oz and the freight will be the same as a brand new boom
