Hi, I have a Dufour Wing- old surfing board. I miss the part that one plug into the hole of the surfing board to attach the mast, that is, the linking part between the universal joint and the hole in the board.

I know it probably doesn't exist on the market anymore but I'd be SO glad if someone could help me out! Anything!

Thanks mates!

just sold one - seems to be a need for these worldwide
does anyone have an idea how to make one ? just the bottom
i am guessing out of hard wood would easiest ?
does not need to be exactly the same - just needs to lock at the groove
instead of clips , metal cauter pins can be used ...
.

for the top ideally put the section with either US or Euro cup

a long time ago , I made this one from parts ....
.

i can do measurements if anyone has ideas how to make one ...

Anyone with Joes dimensions and a lathe could make one easy. One hour ( two beers max ) and $ 5 of HD polyethylene ( or nylon ) .

Easiest to get a bit of wood that is tight as blazes and hammer the bugger in, then screw a new base into it.
So many systems on old boards I just think its better to convert the base to modern standard any way you can...

Not taking the piss, but why on Earth are you wanting to sail a Dufour Wing?

Get a piece of aluminium round bar, drill and tap m10 one end, grind or machine a few groves around the bar. Put some resin in the insert hole in the board and put the round bar in, top up resin if required. Once set use a standard base.

Screw one of these on (tyronsea) i drilled and countersunk the 3 screws you can see in pick replacing the original bolt. Use long screws 50-70 mm, pre drill holes and final fit with a liberal amount of epoxy glue in holes.

My first windsurfer was a Dufour Wing, OMG 1983

The next year me and my brother bought a Wally via our paper rounds, Bliss compared!!!

1984 was a much better summer, '85 Bombora Tri Fin now we're talkin'

Sorry, I didn't answer the question, I'm with the above, bang in a piece of dowell (maybe a broom handle is the right size) and get a new board next summer

sold my Dufours, but they were STILL FUN with newer sails:

good on inland lake - no need to bring stuff up
my Mistral Equipe 2 XR is still my preferred longboard

What Joe Windsurf shows is correct. This is exactly the same as the BIC250 and 250S base.

Highly unlikely you would be able to buy one.

Suggestions above are good.

They dufours are great old board to sail in light winds.
