Clinic wise the only such thing on the island that i Know of are the aloha clinics that Matt P and Shawn Cropas run.

Can you tell me the best month to go to Maui to get into the waves?
If you want a wind guarantee (well almost) June - aug generally honks every day. Swell is non existent. Wave season is basically now, but the chance of wind is much less. Shoulder seasons are great say march - may or sept - nov. March and April are generally photoshoot months, so there can be lots of pro's on Maui, which can make trying out ho'okipa daunting. But if you are learning, then the lowers wave is super safe and can give long rides.
Now if you are really doing this to learn how to wave sail, then ditch the Maui idea all together and head to baja. Punts San Carlos (
www.solosports.net/). Matt runs a wave sailing clinic here 3 times a year. Gem Hall also runs clinics here and a few other pro's. it is super safe, perfect cross off, long rides upwards or 10 bottom turns are possible. Starboard tack (same as Maui). April is spring over there, and is more reliable for wind, however there is bigger swell in their summer (opposite to Maui). PSC faces south and gets its swell from winter storms down in the Tasman and off NZ.
Hope this helps.
