Wow those are great pics, shows the pattern of the chop in a whole new light.

Must say that at the time I was scared you would drop the kite on me & generally sailing so close is not appreciated but now that I see what you were doing it all seems worth while. I just knew that someday someone would find a good use for kites... taking pics of windsurfers!

Well what do you know,
The day the windsurfers want to hold a race a kiteboarder has to come get in the way and ruin it for everyone.

Sorry guys no planning what so ever in any of it , but happy to share and it does show Marmong from a different view than we are all used to.

The wind was on, we was all having fun and Dave yelled out to go have a race with the windsurfers on one of our new race boards, but as my skill level is not up to scratch yet I stuck to my trusty little 128cm twin tip board to save from embarrassing moments

I did generally put myself in a position so as not to be in the way and cause anyone to loose a spot as can be seen at the start and the first mark rounding.

Luck has it the camera battery hadn't gone flat so we got some action.
Although the pictures don't really show how windy it was on the day.

I am reasonably experianced with a kite so no chance on that day, didnt want to make a dick of myself till you at least know my name

Yah Yah, wait till we get those green boards sorted out, then you will see the kite put to good use

Great idea! One area where kites do have an advantage ( aerial photos. ) It doesn't show how windy it was..

And that was an ultralight that crashed into the water.
It was in Monday's paper, apparently the two passengers are OK
