Maybe post the date cos a lot of people are assuming it is the same time as normal but it is a week later.

Would be nice if there was a definition of "Master".
I suspect I qualify, but not really sure.
I was thinking about going over for it next year. Bucket list thing, ya know.

Oh Dear! Looks like you have left it a bit late Troppo. 3rd row back down the far end.[}:)] Jet got 180 something so we will look you up on the day to see how it all stacks up.

i got 191 on the email and item #18 on the paypal thingy... i wouldnt be surprized if they have reserved spots at the top of the grid for the superstars of the sport.

I would guess that until they know how many are in the elite catagory (front row) they wont know how the rest of the field is set out. Just have to pay for that category or hope that the LOC honour the first in best dressed policy.

As part of the lead up to the Lacelin Ocean Classic Marathon, the Safety Bay Windsurfing club WWA Marathon (17th or 18th Dec) and the Mandurah Marathon (31st Dec or 1st Jan) will require you to have the same safety equipment as the LOC.
From the LOC website
http://www.lancelinoceanclassic.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3
Safety - During marathons all competitors must carry 2 flares and shall be required to wear an ASA 1499,2350 or ASA Type 1 or 2. Internationally stamped equivalents may be accepted at the discretion of the race director. If flares are out of date but are in very good condition they may be accepted at the discretion of the officer of the day. All competitors shall carry, securely attached to their buoyancy vests; two orange or red smoke flares. Competitors without proper safety equipment will not be allowed to compete.

Anita - read all here about PFDs

http://www.msq.qld.gov.au/Safety/Lifejackets-personal-flotation-devices.aspx

and flares

www.msq.qld.gov.au/Safety/Flares.aspx

The sticker has come off my PFD, so I carry a printout off the net with a picture saying its a registered PFD type 2. And It can store 2 flares in its pocket. I wonder how guys can tape flares to their bulky vests and still sail fast.

Come on you could do it!
