Picture qual looks really good so your export settings must be pretty spot on. To me the video looks choppy though, not sure if this is a function of your attempts to salvage it or something imovie has done? Looks like it was a nice day up there.

Edit: forget the choppy bit, just watched it on my other computer and it's fine, laptop must be having spasms

I agree Craig - was trying to get in his video so I could check my sail, stance etc.

Next time Karl, make sure you follow me close up!

I agree Roar... it is the first time I have seen any close up of my gear and stance while powered up. I am the orange JP FSW with the blue Hellcat that makes a cameo in the second half.

I have borrowed Karl's Tabou Rocket 105L a couple of times when he has been on his bigger board, but not enough wind for my JP FSW 92L. It is a great board. I was having a great time on it in 13-18 knots with my 6.2. It is fast (got just over 30knots on my GPS) and gybes really nicely. I rate it highly and wish I had it in my quiver!!

I'd definately be on the 105/6.6 in 15knots. Give me the 140/7.4 in the 12-14knot range... but I am a bit old school who learned to windsurf when the biggest common sail was about 6.5m... 7m was considered huge!!. For many years I sailed with just a 6m and a 110L slalom board.... and you can make it work from 10-12knots up to 25knots!! :)

You have to work it onto the plain with the smaller gear, but with technique you can keep it there easily and have a faster more exciting ride in the process!! 12-14 is a bit challenging on the FSW 92 with a 6.2 though!! :(

Had my 95ltre rocket out yesterday on 20-25kts ( mainly 25kts) & chop.It behaved beautifully but in big chop that much speed is scary! I did my best ever carve gybe..seamless..! felt terrific Pity about the 20 stacks..grr[}:)][}:)] one day.. Guys were out with 73 ltre boards and they weighed an extra 10kgs more than me so I think I really need a smaller board as the volume of that one wears me out in big chop.Grr there were all these great ramps and all I could do was hang off like a sack of spuds & watch them go by..Oh to be 20 years younger! I might have to use my old Caveman waveboard next time c 86ltres & much slower.But I love the ease of use & gybying of my Rocket.. Its silly I'm worried about not being able to gybe the 95 model board as its narrower etc ..but most of the time Im not gybing the new one so whats the diff? [}:)]

For non-Sydney people, last Saturday was a 12-18kt N/E seabreeze
so we all had a pretty cruisy sail (except Mike who did his usual 120km )

The run (reach) from the beach to the end of the runway is about 1.2Nm.

I have been tempted to sail a few times, but unfortunately something inside of me tells me that I should do work instead. Plus, my collection of fins seems to have vanished.

Also I am worried that my body has no idea how to gybe unless the water is super flat and I am surrounded by kite boarders.

Did I tell you I took kite lessons in WA?
