I've been looking forward to this, the first LIVE PWA event of the year is about to begin.
Slalom from Korea and can be seen at www.pwaworldtour.com/index.php?id=920
The Freestyle event last week in Austria was unfortunately not telecast, but the rest should be.
Because Freestylers are the most skilled windsurfers I'm going for Dunky and Taty.

I find it all a bit monotonous after 5 minutes watching despite the obvious skill factor. However there is no doubt that freestyle has helped rejuvenate windsurfing

They look like windsurfers trying to be kite boards trying to be wakeboarders.

seeing as windsurfing has been around longer than either kite boarding or wake boarding, I would say you have it around the wrong way.

True, but they are copying the newer skate park/ wake park/ snow board park style moves. You didnt see windsurfers building sliders in the 70's??Not that there is anything wrong with that if it helps to try and get people interested in windsurfing again.
I dont think anyone would have knowen what a rail was back in the 70's.

Pity we couldn't watch those heats live.Last season was fantastic, they had a camera on each rider and splitscreen so you could watch both competitors at the same time.

Watch the heats with Taty, see what the light weight freestylers tactics do to the heavy slalom racers.Bit hit n' miss but always guaranteed to end spectacularly one way or another.
In a couple of years time Golito and Koester will join the slalom fleet. Will one of them be able to stop Dunky from getting 50 world titles?

Those boys sure look the business. But I'm not sure if a formula or RSX background could defeat Taty though.Slalom boards go much quicker than an RSX and are much tippier than a formula board.
There is another Aussie as well,Steve Allen.
Of coarse I want all the Aussies to do well and not just because they are all on the RED TEAM.[}:)]

Looks like Taty couldn't make it from Austria to Korea in time and went back to the Caribbean and has entered the Curacoa Challenge instead.
Unfortunately Korea won't be as exciting as it could be.

I was going to say the same thing, very impressive to land a clean backloop off a one foot chop.

The dude's a freak no doubt but I still rate the backloop as more impressive, the rotation speed on that double is ridiculous though haha; looked mega windy.
