Some of my harness lines are good and stiff other flopping on the waves and bumps.
That behavior make hanging on more difficult and may also attribute to accidental attachment just before jibes.

We there any tip to stiffen the cloth on that joint ?

Soak it in paint ? glue ?

Yes, only use the brand that you say "are good and stiff".
Why mess up good harness lines (but floppy) that would be good for a different kind of sailing?

Find a good one and stick to it. Not only for that factor but stated line lengths can vary between brands just as much as mast extension settings can. My Ezzy lines (luvem nice and stiff) are supposed to be 28's but actually measure 30.

Seemingly EVERYTHING out of Maui is out by 2. My old Ezzy sails rigged 2cm shorter than recommended. My Hot Sails Maui sails rig 2cm longer.

Is it some sort of inside joke?

I use monolines on my smaller boom - they make the rig feel twitchy which I like for waves and b&j. And they are very stiff, which is good - always exactly where you expect them to be.
For blasting though I prefer the more locked-in feeling of standard lines.

I found those Dakine to be the best as to avoid "floppy" harness lines. I'm pretty sure they have them at Surf fx.

I don't know what the red thumb is for. My experience with Clips has been good.
They don't flop around and they are length adjustable in 1" increments.

I have seen one pair broken but they were an earlier style, moulded with hollows in the line. The newer ones are solid.
They come with a spare clip so I assume the clips break.

I've been using Clip Harness lines for the last 8 months and in my experience they will suit you well. They are very stiff. Accidental hookups do not happen.Boombuster is the Australian agent. Surf FX have them in stock.
