I like the first person view and chill atmosphere in the race. When are we going to get similar footage from PWA?

Interestingly enuff - u did knot post yurs- Y ?

what i would like to know and i see little of it in the answers - is "what constitutes a GOOD windsurf clip for YOU ?"

one of the posts had a video of max 480 resolution - NOT in today's world ....

for me - variety, sound/music that syncs to the action, something new and different and MUST be HD 720
i find people are getting fussier now - want more than just a GoPro attached to the equipment or board
guess we are spoiled already

how about the best clip of yourself or that you made ??

Deejay has put up a Robby video from 30 years ago. Here's what he'd be doing if he was in his twenties today.

Best idea for a topic!!!

I like Jas Polakow at Jaws. Funny thing, having watched this a few times, on the last trip to Maui, I drove down Polakows street without knowing it, and recognised his house instantly.

Nup - I'd much rather watch a poor quality vid of good quality windsurfing, than a HD vid with average windsurfing (although there are some great recent HD WS clips out there).

Some of the fuzzy quality 70's retro vids are still the best to watch IMO.

Mostly I like videos with a sense of verisimilitude, what those latte sippers may refer to as Cinema verite.

Not sure if this is the best Caesar Finies video but ... he's freaking awesome and I really hope he inspires more "quality" sailors to play in light air because they will inspire newbies. I look at the sailing going on around him, the kids with their dads etc, and I think we need more of that in Aus.

Great video! Boy the bit where he is inside the boom could be nasty if it went pear shaped..

By the way, flow-style (or light wind freestyle) is really effective in improving your stronger wind sailing too because you learn so much about rig control. It's also something that windsurfers of all abilities can get involved in to varying levels. Kids in particular love to imitate these tricks and they can use them to impress their friends.
